Oregon Coast!

In February, Brandon had a week off of school (to help with the recruiting process - but since we already had an idea of what we were going to do for the summer, we could use it as a vacation!) We headed up to the Oregon Coast so that I could do some accounting work for Grandpa Poyfair and the rest of the family could visit.

Brandon's last living Grandparent is his Grandma Jory - here she is meeting Makaida for the first time

Kash basically decided to potty train himself on this trip - this probably deserves its own post
This is the small lake across from Brandon's parents house
This is Brandon's parents house, you can see the beach entrance on the left
Here is Kyla out on the beach, Brandon's parent's house is right behind her. It is so fun to look out the window and see the ocean of the Oregon Coast!

All the kids got to spend some time with their great-grandma, it was so wonderful for them and I know she really enjoyed it too. She loves to talk about the kids. They made her so happy, which in turn, made me so happy!
Crazy girl!
Grandma Poyfair spent lots of time enjoying Makaida!

Once I finally finished all my work, we headed out to the bay to check on Grandpa's big boat "Punkin'"

Then we went to look for Sea Lions. We stopped at a cute little beach. Brandon's mom has spent many years walking along the beach, early in the morning, where she had first pick of the best sea shells. She got out her collection and we took a few small handfuls to throw out on the beach for the kids to "find" - they LOVED it!

Grandpa!
It was February, so the beach was really cold. But it didn't stop us from enjoying it!

Grandpa took us on a trip that was a real treat. We went and got salt water taffy and popcorn and then went across the street to feed the squirrels. As you can imagine, the kids LOVED this as well.

We had such a wonderful time, it was hard to leave. We begged Grandma and Grandpa to take a picture with the kids when we left early in the morning and we didn't give them any warning. BUT I LOVE this picture so much.
